Retiring the Tevas
Posted on July 30, 2007
My Teva flip-flops are coming to the end of their useful life. These have been, by far, the most comfortable pieces of footwear I have ever owned. They came into my possession in August 2004, in Portland, Oregon, after the wedding of Ali and Ryan Wing, who gave them as a groomsmen gift, to change in to after the ceremony. It was a great call on their part, the reception was much more pleasant from the vantage point of a pair of comfy tevas than the hard leather shoes that came with the rented tuxedo.
Since then they have come with me on every trip to a warm climate, and to Boonville for my own wedding. They were my primary footwear in the Cook Islands, for our honeymoon, and most recently in the Dominican Republic for my mum’s birthday celebration.
Alas, after 3 weeks on the road in SE Asia, and 3 years on the bench they are on their way out. Fare thee well tevas, I will miss you.

Very touching…
…a teva tear was shed after reading this heartfelt post.
They were probably very smelly too!
Oh Tevas from Graham’s wedding…I still wear them weekly…sorry to hear the news but thanks to the photo; at least I got to see them one last time.
I miss you kooky kids.
Amber, they got Littil Cesurs there?
